Delayed Egress Controller

The Delayed Egress Controller (DEC) is an innovative Bluetooth enabled, flexible local controller to manager Special Locking Arrangements of emergency doors providing local and remote alarms, management and monitoring.

Why Choose DEC

iOS and Android Users configure the DEC directly from your mobile device

Via Bluetooth and using the DEC’s mobile app, installers and administrators can change configuration parameters.

  • Nuisance timers (0,1,2 seconds)
  • Time delay to release (15,30 seconds)
  • Auto/manual alarm reset etc.
  • DEC has a built in graphical display, multi tone alarm sounder, Digital key fob and others.

The DEC controller is installed by any exit door designated as ‘Special Locking’ in which locking the door is allowed under specific circumstances as detailed by the International Building Code (IBC) and the NFPA 101 Life Safety Codes.

Remote monitoring and management of the DEC is done from any standalone guard station or via interface to the building’s access control system. DEC operates from 12v-24v AC or DC, has 5 programmable inputs and 4 programmable form C relay outputs. Outputs are supervised via built in selector jumpers for: dry, form C, 1K or 1K/2K EOL supervision. No need for external EOL resistor kits.

DEC has dedicated outputs for remote Red/Green LEDs as well as 2.4” graphical display showing multiple door conditions such as: nuisance timer with graphical count down as well as graphical timer for remaining lock release period. Additionally, graphical display shows status conditions such as: Door is secured, door in alarm and door is held open.
